After announcing the next entry in the long running shooter series, Developer Treyarch has revealed various details and features for their next game, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4. As part of their international live-streamed event hosted by both Activision and Treyarch, several trailers were released showing the variety of game modes that will be featured Black Ops 4.
The first major game-play mode to be shown is the now famous COD Zombie mode, which will be the largest variation of the mode in the series since it was first introduced ten years ago. On launch day, the game will feature three different zombie campaigns to play, IX, Voyage Of Despair and Blood Of The Dead. Each of the campaigns will provide players with a detailed game-play and a plethora of Easter eggs to find. Players will also be able to create community challenges and play with friends with an advance social system. In addition, a new mode called Zombie Rush will give players a more straightforward and simple experience to provide veteran players with a good challenge.
The second game mode to be announced for Black Ops 4 will be the new battle royal mode called Blackout. As an homage to previous games in the series, this mode will allow players compete in a survival game where they must scavenge and plan in order to survive. This new mode also includes the largest map ever to be featured in a Call Of Duty game, over 1,500 time bigger than Nuketown from the original Black Ops. To travel across this new map, players will have access to a selection of land, air and sea vehicles to ride as they fight to survive.
It seems that Activision are pulling all the stops on this game. Mark Gordon, Co-Studio Head of Treyarch, has expressed his appreciation towards the fans of the series and his hopes that this next entry will provide them with everything they hope in a Call Of Duty game. The developers are currently working with developer Beenox to optimize the PC version of the game for Blizzard’s Battle.Net. Featuring a 4K resolution, a variety of performance and Graphical customization options and unrestricted frame-rate, the PC version seems like the ideal version of the game, though it will still be released for consoles such as the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
These announcement have gotten plenty of fans excited for the upcoming release, which is schedule for October 12th on all platforms.
