Command and Conquer: Rivals Announced for Mobile

Command and Conquer: Rivals will be arriving to iOS and Android mobile devices. EA announced the new game during the E3-adjacent EA Play press release.

Electronic Arts (EA) revealed a new game to be released on mobile platforms only. Command and Conquer: Rivals (C&C: Rivals) is a real-time strategy game revolving around 1 vs. 1 battles against other players. Android users can register now for a pre-Alpha test and begin playing. iOS users are not able to begin playing yet and EA did not reveal when they would.

The game gives players the option to choose between two different factions: the Global Defense Initiative or the Brotherhood of Nod. Players can then collect, customize, and upgrade numerous units and forces. Lead your armies to victory utilizing units and forces from the original Command and Conquer series.

Basic Game Play

C&C:Rivals has players doing a balancing act between Tiberium production and attacking the enemy. Each player’s main base is on each side of a central silo and must attempt to destroy the enemy base. The goal is to control the majority of the three platforms located around the silo in the middle. A player has to control two or more platforms when the timer counts down. The central missile launches and your opponents base will explode. Players have to accomplish this twice to win the match.

The Command and Conquer series was originally released in 1995 for PC. C&C: Rivals will be the first in the series to be released on a different platform. Command and Conquer: Rivals is the first to be released for a different platform. Gather up your troops and head into battle against the enemy! EA has not revealed an official release date at this time.
