Wolfenstein: Youngblood Announced at E3

Bethesda announced this week at E3 the latest installment of their Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Those familiar with the franchise may remember BJ Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Well, this time the game fast forwards approximately 19 years in the future, featuring BJ’s twin daughters, Jessica and Sophia.

The game takes place in Nazi-occupied France in the 1980’s. (Yes, this isn’t based on actual history, but imagines a world where the Nazis are still alive and well and still in charge.) As the story begins, BJ has gone missing, so his daughters set out to find him and kick quite a bit of Nazi butt in the process. Another tidbit was announced as the game will also feature the choice of solo play or co-op, each player assuming the role of one of the twins.

So, if you’re more than ready to do a bit of Nazi-killin’, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. The game is slated to be released sometime in 2019.
