Ever since the reboot was announced, Fans of the original series and even some of the cast from the original series has voiced their outcry over this reboot. A twitter campaign called #StopCharmedReboot has been active ever since the announcement was made that has been actively air their complaints to the network. The CW has carried on with their plan to reboot the series regardless. Holly Marie Combs, who played Piper in the original series, has tweeted her complaints about this new series.

Speaking as a non-fan, I really don’t have much of an opinion on this topic. My Mom was a fan of the original series, but I was too young to get into it. However, this does remind me of the DMC Devil May Cry reboot in terms of fan backlash to the changes. I am interested to see what will happen when the pilot is enviably released and fans will able to judge it properly. Until then, let the chaos unfold.
