After being removed from the last few few months, EA has decided to place mircrotransactions back into Star Wars Battlefront II. This comes after a huge controversy and backlash from not only the community but Disney themselves.
Originally removed due to it creating a pay to win environment in the game, rather than simply returning the old feature to the game, these new mircrotransactions will be focused solely on cosmetics. This new system is set to go up on March 21st for all platforms. Those who had already bought in-game credits or experience will still be able to use. EA has also issued a statement they changed these features to help improve the the core of the game and to re-balance the playing field.
Star Wars Battlefront II is not the only game to exhibit this microtransactions for in-game cosmetics, as Bungie’s Destiny 2 also features this with their Eververse store and ample cosmetics.
