Yakuza Kiwami 2 which has already released in Japan is heading to the West later this year, with a commemorative steelbook edition. Check out details here and watch the announcement!
The steelbook edition is only available for pre-orders and the first run of the game, features art on the inside cover of “Kiryu and his fierce rival, the Dragon of Kansai, Ryuji Goda.”
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2, where all in-game cut-scene dialogue was re-recorded but to keep the integrity of the game to its originality.
A year after leaving his former life in the Tojo Clan behind, ex-yakuza Kazuma Kiryu is called back into action when the clan’s Fifth Chairman, Yukio Terada, is murdered by assassins from a rival organization, the Omi Alliance. Returning to Kamurocho, Kiryu must find a new chairman for the Tojo Clan and prevent an all-out war between the Tojo and the Omi, bringing him into conflict with Ryuji Goda, the legendary “Kansai Dragon” of the Omi.
You can get your hands on Yakuza Kiwami 2 on August 28th 2018 in digital and physical forms on the PlayStation 4. If you’re looking to get the special edition, we recommend you order it now!
