The Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT) was launched in 2008 to accelerate and intensify scientific exploration of Rett Syndrome with the goal of finding a cure. Rett Syndrome is a severely disabling neurological disorder that afflicts primarily girls and women. Rett affects approximately 350,000 girls and women globally, with 16,000 of these cases occurring in the U.S.

RSRT emphasizes transparency, accountability, and relentless dedication in pursuit of its mission. Thus far, an investment of $20 million in research has yielded a number of exciting potential treatment approaches. RSRT’S lean structure allows 96% of all support to be channelled directly to research.

RSRT is currently funding over two-dozen research laboratories including several biotech firms and two clinical trials.
