At a recent Netflix event in Rome, writer Lauren S. Hissrich has revealed new details of the upcoming The Witcher series currently in development. While this is extremely exciting for Witcher fans, we have a long time to wait before it’s available to binge.
Having worked on other series such as Daredevil and The Defenders, Hissrich has been working the script for the series for some time now. She describe the current production process as very enthusiastic if a bit disorienting. When questioned about when the series would premiere, Hissrich hinted it would be in 2020. This was only a guess, as they have yet to finish the final draft of the script or done a casting call. The only thing she could confirm about the series was “You’ll get it as soon as humanly possible, and it’ll be good”. Only time will tell if the this series will live up to the expectations of the fans.
