ABC Television Network has chosen to cancel the new Marvel show, Marvel’s Inhumans, after ratings and the box office open didn’t give what they were expecting.
Marvel’s Inhumans had a rough start for a series, as it was strangely funded partially by IMAX and subsequently premiered the first two episodes within theaters, two weeks before the TV premiere date. In the box office, Marvel’s Inhumans got $3.5 billion, which was not the only disappointing aspect, as critics also had negative views.
“After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.”
The show focused around Black Bolt who was the commanding King of the Inhumans.
As of right now the other Marvel series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has yet to be cancelled or renewed. We’ll keep you informed as a decision is made.
