As of right now there’s not many details regarding Fallout 76. Bethesda released a short minute and a half teaser trailer for the game, including showing the Vault 76 and a person equipping a Pip Boy.
If you don’t remember from Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, Vault 76 has been mentioned in the past, and was a Vault simply for saving humanity. No deranged experiments took place, and it was opened in 2076 near Washington D.C. holding 500 occupants. According to the small teaser trailer, Vault 76 is called “The Official Vault of the Tricentennial” and the person who has the alarm going off on the Pip Boy is dated at October 21st, 2102.
