After two riveting seasons of Netflix’s hit science fiction series, Stranger Things is finally coming to a bookstore near you. Netflix and Penguin Random House publishing are teaming up for a release of three titles related to the Stranger Things world. Penguin Random House is known for its many popular titles in the science fiction and fantasy realm. Who better to deliver amazing stories from the Netflix sci-fi hit.
The three titles to be released will give fans an in-depth look into the Upside Down, delving behind the scenes into our new favorite creepy town in Indiana. This first book is titled, Stranger Things: World Turned Upside Down: The Official Behind-the-Scenes Companion to be written by YA fiction author Gwenda Bond and is slated to be released sometime this year.
Per the publisher, the second title, also slated for a release this year is intended to be a gift book for a younger audience that gives, “advice, wisdom, and warnings from the Stranger Things world.” No title has been mentioned yet, but I’m sure young Stranger Things fans can’t wait.
The third book that is also in progress will be a prequel novel about Eleven’s mother and the MKUltra program that was mentioned in the series. This book will also be written by Gwenda Bond and is slated to come out later in 2019. Which is a good thing as series 3 only began production in April and will return to Netflix in 2019. Hopefully, these books will satiate our Stranger cravings until then.
