Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson announced the official released date of the new Jumanji sequel in an Instagram post last week!
According to the film’s star, the next installment of the Jumanji series is to be released in theaters on December 13, 2019. Johnson also reassured fans that the all-star cast from the first sequel would return in this film; returning Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, and Johnson (of course) to the jungle we thought they had left behind.
Also with the cast, the writers of the Welcome to the Jungle, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, and the director Jake Kasdan will also be returning to complete the journey they started in 2017.
While the movie is being released the same week as Star Wars: Episode IX, there is little to no worry about the effects it might cause when considering that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was so popular it reached one of the top grossing films of 2017.
