The trailer for DC’s Aquaman will be debuting at Comic-Con this week, and fans of the DC Universe as well as the classics superhero Aquaman cannot wait to see what is sure to be a vast expanse of breathtaking underwater scenery.The film is directed by master of horror James Wan, with Jason Momoa starring in the title role of Aquaman/Arthur Curry. This latest film by DC will explain in the backstory the iconic underwater superhero. The film centers around the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime.
In this film, Aquaman will be forced not only to discover who he really is, but he will be forced to ask himself if he is worthy of being the king whom he was born to be.
The film also stars Justice League’s Amber Heard, as Mera, a fierce warrior and Aquaman’s ally throughout his journey. Spider-Man 2’s Vulko as well as Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe, will be in this movie as well. Patrick Wilson who is best known for roles in The Conjuring films and Watchmen will be playing Ocean Master, the present King of Atlantis. Dolph Lundgren known for a role in The Expendables will be playing as Nereus, King of the Atlantean tribe Xebel. Oscar winner Nicole Kidman will portray as Arthur’s mom, Atlanta, while Captain Murk will be played by Power Ranger’s Ludi Lin. Arthur’s dad, Tom Curry, is being played by Temuera Morrison
