Blizzard has announced that changes have been made to World of Warcraft. Get ready for free upgrades if you’re not already on the most recent expansion!
World of Warcraft is Getting Some Changes
Now included in the monthly subscription fee is all six of the previous expansions for World of Warcraft. Current users will be automatically upgraded to the most recent expansion, Legion, for free. New users that subscribe to WoW will get all of the expansions for free as well. All users will have to pay is the monthly fee.
The Battle Chest has been removed from the online store, which had contained all of the expansions for a price. All of the expansions are available for the monthly fee of $12.99 per month. Battle for Azeroth, the next installment for WoW, will not be free. When this expansions comes on August 14th it will be available for a one-time fee of $49.99.
This will not only get new and old players to participate more in the game, but it makes people more likely to purchase Battle for Azeroth if they don’t have to upgrade through the previous expansions first! Brilliant move by Blizzard!
If ever there was a time to jump in WoW, it is now! New and veteran users rejoice in the free upgrades and get ready for Battle for Azeroth coming next month!
