The next season of Stranger Things may not be making its way to Netflix until Summer 2019. However, it may be facing these delays for a darn good reason.
Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content, Cindy Holland, said that this show is very handcrafted and tailored. The creators and producers of the show have plans and desires to show fans a bigger and better season than what they released last year, or even the year before. So, although this means the show is delayed, it also means fans will be treated to something significantly better than before.
Shawn Levy and series star David Harbour have made some hints about the upcoming season. They are some very vague details about what might be coming, but they are details nonetheless. Harbour even said that:
“If you’re a real fan of Stranger Things and you really want to know. I would go look at the great films that were released in ’85, of which there were many, and just go down that list and think of the possibilities that we could be going with. I think it is a specific season to 1985, and so you’ll see references to that. We’re experimenting a lot this season, and we’re taking risks, and I hope that they pay off but they are risks. We’re going into territories we’ve never been to before, and it’s exciting.”
So everyone get ready (but not too soon!) to return to Hawkins, Indiana and experience something really strange.
