Nintendo Direct 9-13 Recap

After being delayed due to an Earthquake, the latest Nintendo Direct is Finally here, and we’ve got all the big news here for you!

Luigi’s Mansion 3 (Working Title) – 2019

The direct kicked off with a bang by revealing that the third chapter in the fan favorite Luigi’s Mansion series will release exclusively for the switch. Currently titled Luigi’s Mansion 3, not much else is known of the game, but the brief footage shown looks quite impressive.

Katamari Damacy Reroll – 2019

One of Gaming’s stranger franchises, Katamari hasn’t seen a release since 2011, and Reroll will be the first game to release on a Nintendo Console.

Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo’s Payed online service was touched on in full, and fans finally know more about the service which will launch next week. With the service, fans will have access to a massive library of NES games, as well as the ability to connect to a mobile app for voicechat. Also among the features is cloud backup data. alongside the NES library are NES Joy-Con controllers.

All of the Ports

Nintendo released a massive list of games it will port to Switch and 3ds, which are listed below:

  • Kirby’s Epic Yarn (3ds)
  • Luigi’s Mansion, with 2-player mode (3ds)
  • Diablo III
  • Civilization VI
  • Warframe
  • New Super Mario Bros. U

New Games

Alongside Luigi’s Mansion 3, new details were released on a few of Nintendo’s Upcoming games, including Super Mario Party, which releases October 5. The game will have a singleplayer mode for all of the gamers out there with nobody to play with. Also among the reveals were a new Animal Crossing game in development, which is aiming for a 2019 release, and Yoshi’s Crafted World, a sequel to the 2015 Wii U title Yoshi’s Woolly World, which releases in early 2019.

New Switch Bundles

Nintendo’s 2 most anticipated games of the year, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, were revealed to each have an exclusive Switch Bundle releasing this year. The Smash Bros. bundle features a custom-printed dock, specially designed Joy-Cons, and a code of the game for download. The Bundle releases November 2, and the code will be valid on December 7th, the same day the game releases. The Let’s Go bundles feature a specially designed dock, switch, and Specially colored Joy-Cons, as well as a copy of one of the two games, and a Pokeball Plus. The LGPE bundle launches the same day the games do, November 16th.

Speaking of Smash Bros…

Rumor had it fans would be greeted with the reveal of Incineroar and Isaac from Golden Sun as the next character’s in Smash bros. Sadly that didn’t happen, instead fans learned that Isabelle, the fan favorite character from Animal Crossing, would finally become a full-fledged fighter in Ultimate. Previously featured as an assist trophy, the newest contender appears to have similar moves to Villager, but not similar enough for her to be an Echo Fighter.
