It’s Destiny 2’s one year anniversary on Blizzard’s Battle.net service. To celebrate, Bungie is allowing PC players a chance to own their latest game completely free.
Destiny has a strong following in the gaming community. Now that its sequel has been around for a year, millions of people have enjoyed the MMORPG shooter. Well, expect those numbers to climb even higher because Bungie has announced the PC players will be able to own their latest title for free.
That’s right! Bungie and Activision, in collaboration with Blizzard, have announced that from November 2nd until November 18th players on the Battle.net platform can claim Destiny 2 for free. Of course, if you already own Destiny 2 through Battle.net then you cannot claim it. Fear not! There’s a special reward to those who have previously purchased it.
In December, existing PC players will receive an exclusive emblem that cannot be obtained elsewhere. New Battle.net accounts created after 19:00 BST on November 2, 2018, will have to enable the Blizard SMS protect before they can claim the game. Also, new players have the chance to play Destiny 2: Forsaken during the Gambit Free Weekend occurring between November 9th to the 11th. Steve Cotton, game director for Destiny 2: Forsaken at Bungie, stated:
We know Destiny players that want to play on PC expect an amazing experience, whether it’s on their own or with their friends – so, our paramount concern was to keep the discerning requirements of the PC community in mind, and welcoming the Battle.net and Bungie PC communities together. With this gift we look forward to seeing new Guardians in our universe.
