Yet another Marvel show has been axed leading up to the debut of Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+. This time, the casualty was none other than the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.
Yes, you read that right. The next show to fall from Netflix’s superhero lineup is none other than Daredevil. Obviously, this news is shocking to most fans of the franchise, as it’s most recent season is almost universally hailed as one of the greatest seasons on the platform.
The news comes courtesy of Deadline, who in an article, despite delivering the single worst news fans of the show could fear, managed to give fans a ray of sunshine: According to the statement, Daredevil may return in future projects.
“While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel,” – that should be a big quote thing btw
Whether that means Daredevil could return in either Jessica Jones or The Punisher remains to be seen, but the most likely future for the blind crime fighter is reemergence on Disney+.
With Daredevil gone, that leaves Jessica Jones and The Punisher as Marvel’s last two shows on the rapidly decaying streaming service, at least until their respective next seasons are complete.
