WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Match Card & Predictions

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Match Card & Predictions

The Road to Wrestlemania is going strong after one of the best Royal Rumble events we’ve watched in a while! The next stop is later today when the Elimination Chamber takes place. Are you ready for what’s coming?

Elimination Chamber

The Elimination Chamber is an event first seen on February 21, 2010, when it replaced the Pay-Per-View event No Way Out. However, the very first time we got to see an Elimination Chamber match was back in 2002, as the only caged matches the company had in the past were Hell in a Cell and Steel Cage.

The idea is simple, yet grueling: a steel cage surrounds the entire ring and ringside, there are 4 pods which keep superstars inside until the timer runs out. The match starts with 2 superstars in the ring and 4 trapped. After all 6 superstars have been released, the last man (or woman) standing will win.

Eliminations will happen through pinfall or submission, inside the ring. Of course, there’s steel cage outside the ring, where they can still wrestle.

Past Winners

We have had enough Elimination Chamber events to know what to expect. Sweat, unique maneuvers, high risk moves and if we are lucky, some blood. But, who all have won their Elimination Chamber matches in the past?

Baron Corbin vs. Braun Strowman

Predictions
No spoiler here. Braun Strowman must win this match. If Corbin brings McIntyre, though, this might become a rather interesting match, with Corbin coming out as a winner, and setting up a future rivalry between The Monster Among Men and Drew McIntyre.

Buddy Murphy vs. Akira Tozawa

Predictions
Buddy Murphy has, hands down, been the best Cruiserweight Champion since Neville. There’s no way Tozawa will take the title away from him tonight.

Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor

Predictions
Unless Finn comes out with his alter-ego to help, this is a Bobby Lashley win. The Lashley/Rush team has proven over and over again how dangerous they can be, and in a handicap match, there’s no way for Finn to dethrone “The Walking Armaggeddon” (as called in a previous wrestling promotion).

The Miz & Shane McMahon vs. The Usos

Predictions
The unlike team of The Miz and Shane O’Mac has become one of the most entertaining pieces SmcakDown Live has. With the recen legal issues one of the Use brothers had, it is unlikely the WWE would let them become champions.

Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jeff Hardy

Predictions
Even though there are a few great contestants in this match, it is almost sure Daniel Bryan will come out as the champ. With Kofi, AJ, Orton and Jeff in the picture, though, expect some high risk moves during this match, along with a few “RKO Outta Nowhere!” spots.

Nia Jax & Tamina vs. The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan) vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. The IIconics (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay) vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Naomi and Carmella

Predictions
Do you have absolutely any doubts about Sasha Banks and Bayley being the first ever Women’s Tag Team Champions? We have our own favorites, but know they will be winning.

Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott

Predictions
There’s, unfortunately, no way the WWE will have Rousey losing the RAW Women’s Championship right before Wrestlemania.

Remember, WWE Elimination Chamber will start today at 5pm Central with the Kickoff Show, and 6pm with the main show. You can watch through the WWE Network.
