Bethesda Softworks released all the information about the first co-op game in the Wolfenstein series. Under the Wolfenstein: Youngblood title, the game stars B.J. Blazkowicz’s twin daughters as they look for their father.
Set in Paris back in 1980’s the Blazkowicz twins (Jess and Sophie) are looking for their missing father while fighting “the Reich’s war machine”. This sets the mood for what’s to come in this game for sure. The good part of the game? Since this is a co-op game, you can either play with a friend or AI. Of course, the best experience can be obtained by playing with a friend.
The Buddy Pass
Wolfenstein: Youngblood will feature a Deluxe Edition which comes with a “Buddy Pass”. This pass allows you to bring in a friend to play with you, even when they didn’t purchase the game. The catch in here is that this pass can be granted to only one friend at a time, allowing them to download and play the game for free as long as they do so with the owner. They can upgrade to the full game whenever they want to.
The Deluxe Edition doesn’t only have the Buddy Pass. It also comes with some bonuses. These are only cosmetic, though, so expect some skins to come with it in the “Cyborg Skin Pack” which contains:
Cyborg Skin Pack
- Cyborg player skin
- Titanium alloy skins for all weapons
- Titanium alloy hatchet
- Titanium alloy knife
- Armor-boosting pep signal
Any pre-order for Wolfenstein: Youngblood will arrive with the, also cosmetic, bonuses through the Legacy Pack, which includes:
- Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Jacket Power Suit
- B.J.’s US Army Power Suit
- The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Pipe
- The Wolfenstein: Old Blood Knife
- A WW2 Weapon Skin Set for all ranged weapons
Following the current trends in gaming, Bethesda decided to include microtransactions to this game. However, they won’t give any sort of advantage to the players as they’ll be cosmetic only. These items will be available through an in-game store and will use currency obtained through simply playing the game.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood releases July 26 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
