Jurassic World: The Game Review

Within the realm of smart phones we are now able to travel to the amazing world that is Jurassic Park thanks to the new Jurassic World: The Game.

When it comes to owning my Android, I don’t normally over load it with games. It’s very rare that I actually download one unless it really peeks my interest. Jurassic Park of course caught my interest. I’ve been a huge fan of Jurassic Park since I was kid, it was one of my top favorite movies. I can say with absolute confidence my favorite dinosaur is the Velociraptor. So as soon as I saw that game on the App Store I jumped on the opportunity to download it.

Jurassic World, is essentially Pokemon Go with Dinosaurs. Though in my opinion, it’s better in terms of game play. With Jurassic World you are given the open world setting being the world around us. The game provides you with warnings as well as it can sense when you are in a vehicle due to the change in speed. You have to be active to discover new creatures and attempt to collect enough of their DNA to create your own in the laboratory. Once you have assembled a team of four dinosaurs you are able to train your dinosaurs to battle. So not only are you collecting these creatures but you can battle other players as well.

As most game apps go, there is of course the option of paying for certain benefits and extra coins or cash. Even if you decide against that you are still able to gain extra materials through the supply drop points that are located in certain places around you. I found that really the only frustrating thing for me is when you are having to aim the darts from the drone to collect the DNA as it moves slowly and I’m a perfectionist that likes to try to hit the target smack dab in the middle.

Overall I’m fairly impressed by how its graphics look for an app game. The fact that it gives you the option of battling other players rather than just walking around and collecting. It’s definitely worth the look!

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom will be hitting theaters on June 22nd.

You can get your hands on Jurassic World: The Game via Amazon Appstore, iOS, and Android.
