Lucifer brings to live action the characters from DC Entertainment's Vertigo Lucifer, which takes us to a time when Lucifer Morningstar has now retired from being the Lord of Hell, and has moved to Los Angeles, where he now owns a nightclub called Lux. Lucifer then starts to work closely with LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer in order to bring justice to L.A. after the murder of a beautiful pop star happens outside of Lux.
